Nestled in the stunning village of Naunton, Ashtree 2 is a quintessential ‘Chocolate Box’ Cotswold Cottage. On the edge of the village with views across the valley and a garden that runs down to the river, it is idyllically positioned. 2 Ashtree Cottage is a warm, welcoming cottage with plenty of parking. The famous Cotswold 'Hollow Bottom' pub is a 'short distance away' and provides a rather handy mini bus service for our guests and one can walk to 'The Black Horse'.
Hot tub use is £100 and is exclusive to this property.
The Ashtree kitchen is an open plan kitchen/diner, furnished with a large pine table, chairs & bench - a wood burner completes the room making it the social hub of the home in winter months. In the spring/summer cook, read, relax with the door open leading straight out onto the patio & the glorious garden down to the banks of the river Windrush where one can sit & BBQ or dine alfresco!
Back to the kitchen which has all the essentials, including fridge, microwave, washing machine, cooking/baking equipment & a selection of glasses from tumblers to wine & champagne glasses.
We do ask that everything that goes outside, please be brought back in.
The sitting room is all that you would expect from a cosey country cottage, light & airy with snug, comfortable sofa & armchairs, perfect for curling up in to enjoy the flat screen tv & DVD player or listening to your favourite music or radio on the iPod docking system.
The downstairs bathroom although not big itself has a lovely white bath, sink & loo. Perfect for leaving the door open whilst the kids bath & you make tea, leave it ajar whilst you chat & listen to that special someone pour you a drink or shut it firmly & switch off & relax!
* Christmas, New Year, Cheltenham Festival & Paddy Power are exceptions. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details
All three bedrooms are bright, homely yet with that added bit of a bit of luxury.
up in the eaves is just beautiful! With a kingsize bed, his 'n hers bedsize lamps, a chintzy floral chiase longue and two windows facing over the garden down to the river, feels peaceful and cosey.
also with a kingsize bed faces over both the garden and across the valley often enabling the occupants to see horses enjoying the river or relaxing, hopefully in the lovely weather. A beautiful room, definately feels quite sumptuous, large chest of drawers, bedside lamps, tables, all adding to the comfort of this room.
is somewhat smaller but with its own charm. It has a double bed and faces over the garden. Plenty of shelving and under the bed storage, a typical 'sweet' cottage bedroom! The two bathrooms are well equipt, both with sinks and loo's, one with a bath and the other with a shower.
There is no denying that this cottage has a 'snug' feel to it. It is cosey yet bright and would easily suit 3 couples or a family of two adults and two children, depending whether children would bed share.
